On August 31st over 100 people joined us in Memorial Peace Park for our “Dine with Us“ event. The day marked International Overdose Awareness Day and honoured the lives lost in our community due to toxic drug poisonings. We are grateful to our community partners, dignitaries, performers, vendors, peers and to everyone from the community who joined us!

Thank you to our amazing local businesses who hosted collection bins for our Annual Socktober Sock Drive, including: Univar Solutions, Hopcott Meats, Foamer’s Folly Brewing, Westgate Floral Garden, ValleyFair Mall, Revs Bowling, The Maple Ridge Health Unit Town and Country Vintage Home and Kanaka Creek Coffee. Thank you to everyone who generously donated! With your support we’ve collected 1068 pairs of socks to be distributed to those in need right here in our community!

We proudly presented a cheque for $1308.50 to the Family Education and Support Centre to help fund their Men’s mental health programs. The funds were raised at our annual STORM Show & Shine event- which was also announced as a finalist for the 2025 Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows Alist for the category of Favourite Charitable event!

On November 21st, 2025 we hosted our THIRD Annual Speaking Through the STORM event at the ACT Arts Theatre. This FREE community event featured inspiring speakers, a delicious and show-stopping grazing table, local art, community partners and a panel discussion. We heard from Internationally renowned speaker known as the “Skid Row CEO”- Joe Roberts, as well as Langley Community Action Team Coordinator Daniel Snyder and local Peer and tradesmen Lee Newell. We enjoyed a beautiful spread from local business owner Amy Shaba of Abracashaba Focacceria. Funds raised from our 50/50 draw went to support our weekly outreach efforts.
